Dr. ரஜீன் ராஜேந்திரம்
MD., MSc.
Dr. ரஜீன் ராஜேந்திரம், MD, M.Sc.. ஹாலண்ட் ப்ளூர்வியூ கிட்ஸ் மறுவாழ்வு மருத்துவமனை மற்றும் டொராண்டோ பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் 2வது ஆண்டு டெவலப்மெண்ட் குழந்தை மருத்துவ துறையில் பயிர்ச்சி பெற்று வருகின்றார் அவர் முறையே டொராண்டோ பல்கலைக்கழககழகத்தில் மருத்துவப் பட்டம்பெற்று மற்றும் ஸிக் சில்ரன்(hospital for sick children) பொது குழந்தை மருத்துவ வதிவிடத்தை முடித்தார். அத்துடன் மருத்துவ அறிவியல் கழகத்தில் முதுகலை பட்டம் பெற்றார். மைக்ரோஅரே தொழில்நுட்பங்களை ஒப்பிட்டுப் பார்ப்பதற்கும், அடுத்த தலைமுறை வரிசைப்படுத்தல் தொழில்நுட்பத்தைப் பயன்படுத்தி குழந்தைகளின் தொல்லை-கட்டாயக் கோளாறு மற்றும் ஆட்டிசம் ஸ்பெக்ட்ரம் சீர்குலைவு ஆகியவற்றின் மரபியல் பற்றி ஆய்வு செய்வதற்கும் பயோ-இன்ஃபர்மேடிக்ஸ் மற்றும் தரவு அறிவியலைப் பயன்படுத்தி அவரது ஆராய்ச்சிப் பணி ஈடுபட்டுள்ளது. அவரது தற்போதைய மருத்துவ மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி ஆர்வங்களில் குழந்தை மருத்துவ மற்றும் மேம்பாட்டு குழந்தை மருத்துவ கவனிப்பை மேம்படுத்த அதிநவீன மருத்துவ தகவல் கருவிகளின் பயன்பாட்டை ஆராய்வது அடங்கும். இதேபோன்ற வகையில், சிறுபான்மை சமூகங்களின் கவனிப்புக்கான அணுகலில் உள்ள வேறுபாடுகளைக் குறைக்க தொழில்நுட்பத்தை எவ்வாறு பயன்படுத்தலாம் என்பதில் அவர் ஆர்வமாக உள்ளார். டாக்டர். ராஜேந்திரத்தின் தற்போதைய ஆராய்ச்சி நடவடிக்கைகளில் ஆட்டிசம் ஸ்பெக்ட்ரம் கோளாறு உள்ள கலாச்சார ரீதியாக வேறுபட்ட மக்களுக்கான வயது வந்தோருக்கான வெற்றிக்கான அளவுகோல்களை அடையாளம் காண்பது, அத்துடன் சுகாதாரப் பணியாளர்கள் கலாச்சார ரீதியாக உணர்திறன் வாய்ந்த கவனிப்பை வழங்குவதைத் தடுக்கும் எந்தவொரு முறையான தடைகளும் அடங்கும்.
Dr. Rageen Rajendram
MD., MSc.
Dr. Rageen Rajendram, MD, M.Sc. is a 2nd year Developmental Paediatrics Fellow at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital and University of Toronto. He completed his medical degree and General Pediatrics residency at the University of Toronto and the Hospital for Sick Children, respectively. He did his Master of Science at the Institute of Medical Science. His research work has involved using bioinformatics and data science to compare microarray technologies and use next-generation sequencing technology to study the genetics of paediatric obsessive-compulsive disorder and autism spectrum disorder. His current clinical and research interests include exploring the application of cutting-edge clinical informatic tools to enhance paediatric and developmental paediatric care. In a similar vein, he is also interested in how technology can be used to bridge disparities in minority communities’ access to care. Dr. Rajendram’s ongoing research activities include identifying adult success criteria for those from culturally diverse populations with autism spectrum disorder, as well as any systemic hurdles that may be preventing health care staff from delivering culturally sensitive care.

Dr. சாய்ரா விக்னராஜா MD MSc கிங்ஸ்டன் பொது மருத்துவமனை மற்றும் குயின்ஸ் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் முதலாம் ஆண்டு குழந்தை மருத்துவத்தில் இருப்பவர். அவர் லிமெரிக் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் தனது மருத்துவப் பட்டத்தையும், மெக்மாஸ்டர் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் உலகளாவிய ஆரோக்கியத்தில் முதுகலைப் பட்டத்தையும் முடித்தார்.

டாக்டர் விக்னராஜா தமிழ் கிட்ஸ் ஹெல்த் உடன் இணைந்துள்ளார், இது பெற்றோர்கள் மற்றும் பராமரிப்பாளர்கள் தங்கள் குழந்தைகளுக்கு மருத்துவ நடைமுறையில் மிகவும் புதுப்பித்த ஆராய்ச்சி மூலம் தகவல்களை அணுகுவதன் மூலம் சிறந்த கவனிப்பை வழங்க உதவும்.
Dr. Shaira Wignarajah
MD., MSc.
Dr. Shaira Wignarajah MD MSc is a 1st year Pediatrics Resident at Kingston General Hospital and Queen’s University. She completed her medical degree at the University of Limerick, and her Master of Science in Global Health at McMaster University. Her research interests focuses on developmental pediatrics, and using qualitative research methods to learn about the ways in which healthcare providers can advocate for the unique needs of their patients and their caregivers. She is currently conducting a study using Experience-Based Co-Design to learn about and create ways to enhance the patient and caregiver experience of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder in a clinical outpatient setting. Dr. Wignarajah is an advocate of using research as a tool to bring forth tangible changes at the community level, and beyond. Dr. Wignarajah has joined Tamil Kids Health to deliver health information that will enable parents and caregivers to provide their children with the best care possible through access to information that is supported by the most up to date research in clinical practice.

Saisujani Rasiah
MSc., HBSc.
Saisujani Rasiah is the Research Coordinator for the Department of Pediatrics at St. Michael’s Hospital, Unity Health Toronto. She earned her Master of Science at the University of Toronto’s Institute of Medical Science, Faculty of Medicine. She is a recipient of the CIHR – Canada Graduate Scholarship. She also earned an Honours Bachelor of Science for a double major in human biology and neuroscience, and a minor in psychology, from the University of Toronto. Miss. Rasiah has supported pediatric research for over five years and hopes that her work will contribute to reducing access barriers to needed services for at-risk children. Her recent research examined the impact of school-based health centres on at-risk children in underserved Toronto neighbourhoods. Similarly, her interest and passion lay in discovering innovative methods to promote healthy child development and giving back to the Tamil community. By joining the Tamil Kids Health team, as the research and community coordinator, she hopes to address inequities to accessing important evidence-based health information and build a supportive online community.
Dr. ரக்ஷா மனோகரன்
Dr. ரக்ஷா இறுதியாண்டு மருத்துவ மாணவி ஆவார், அவர் குழந்தை மருத்துவத்தில் ஒரு தொழிலைத் தொடர ஆர்வமாக உள்ளார். வளர்ச்சித் தேவைகளைக் கொண்ட குழந்தைகளுடன் பணிபுரிந்த அனுபவத்தின் மூலம், இந்த முயற்சிக்கு ஒரு தனித்துவமான முன்னோக்கைக் கொண்டுவருவார் என்று அவர் நம்புகிறார். தமிழ் சமூகம் மகிழ்ச்சியான மற்றும் ஆரோக்கியமான குழந்தைகளை வளர்க்க உதவும் தகவல்களை கொடுப்பதற்கு TKH குழுவில் ரக்ஷா இணைந்துள்ளார். அவர் தனது குடும்பத்தினருடனும் நண்பர்களுடனும் நேரத்தை செலவிட விரும்புகிறார். அவள் பயணம் செய்வதையும் வாசிப்பதையும் ரசிக்கிறாள்! அணியில் இருப்பது அவளுக்கு மகிழ்ச்சி அளிக்கிறது!
Dr. Raksha Manoharan
Dr. Raksha is a final year International medical student who is eager to pursue a career in Paediatrics. With her experience working with children with developmental needs, she hopes to bring a unique perspective to the initiative. Raksha joined the Tamil kids’ health team to support and promote health education within the Tamil community, more specifically, to ensure the betterment of children’s health and wellbeing. She loves spending time with her family and friends, travelling and reading! She is excited to be a part of the team!
அஜந்தா நடராஜா

அஜந்தா நடராஜா டொராண்டோ பல்கலைக்கழக மருத்துவ மாணவர். மெக்மாஸ்டர் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் குளோபல் ஹெல்த் மற்றும் இளங்கலை சுகாதார அறிவியலில் (ஹானர்ஸ்) முதுகலைப் பட்டம் பெற்றவர்.
அவர் ஐந்து ஆண்டுகளுக்கு மேலாக குழந்தை மருத்துவ ஆராய்ச்சியில் பங்களித்துள்ளார். அஜந்தா தமிழ் சமூகத்திற்கான அறிவு மொழிபெயர்ப்பிலும், சுகாதார எழுத்தறிவிலும் மிகுந்த ஆர்வம் கொண்டவர். குழந்தைகளுக்கான சுகாதார விளைவுகளை மேம்படுத்தல் ஆராய்ச்சி மற்றும் நடைமுறைக்கு இடையே உள்ள இடைவெளியைக் குறைப்பதில் அவர் ஆர்வமாக உள்ளார்.
உள்ளூர் தமிழ் அமைப்புகளுடன் தீவிரமாக ஒத்துழைக்கவும், குழந்தைகள் மற்றும் அவர்களது குடும்பங்களுக்கு கலாச்சார ரீதியாக வடிவமைக்கப்பட்ட சுகாதார வளங்களை மேம்படுத்தவும் அஜந்தா தமிழ் கிட்ஸ் ஹெல்த் நிறுவனத்தில் சேர்ந்தார். அவர் இக் குழுவில் சேர்ந்து, அத்தியாவசிய அடிப்படை சுகாதார வளங்களுக்கான ஆராச்சியில் பங்களிக்க ஆர்வமாக உள்ளார்.
Ajantha Nadarajah
MSc., HBHSc.
Ajantha Nadarajah is a medical student at the University of Toronto. She completed her Master of Science in Global Health and Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) (Child Health Specialization) at McMaster University.
She has contributed to paediatric research for over five years. Ajantha has a keen interest in knowledge translation and health literacy for the Tamil community. She is passionate about bridging the gap between research and practice to improve health outcomes for children.
Ajantha joined Tamil Kids Health to actively collaborate with local Tamil organizations and develop culturally-tailored health resources for children and their families. She is excited to join the team and contribute to evidence-based child health resources.
ஹரிஷ்னி ரமேஷா

ஹரிஷ்னி ரமேஷா ஒரு பதிவுசெய்யப்பட்ட பல் சுகாதார நிபுணராவார் மற்றும் 4 ஆண்டுகளாக கனடா அகாடமி ஆஃப் டென்டல் ஹைஜீனில் ஆசிரியராக உள்ளார். அவர் பல் சுகாதார மாணவர்களுக்கு நுண்ணுயிரியல், வாய்வழி நோய்க்குறியியல், ஆராய்ச்சி அறிமுகம், ப்ரீ-கிளினிகல்/கிளினிக்கல் படிப்புகளை கற்பிக்கிறார் மற்றும் சமூக ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளராக பணியாற்றுகிறார். அவர் டொராண்டோ பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் தனது இளங்கலை அறிவியல் பட்டத்தையும், ஜார்ஜ் பிரவுன் கல்லூரியில் பல் சுகாதாரத்தில் மேம்பட்ட டிப்ளமோவையும் பெற்றார். டொராண்டோ பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் தனது முதுகலை உயர்கல்வியை (சுகாதார நிபுணத்துவம்) தொடர்வதன் மூலம் தனது கல்வியை மேம்படுத்தினார். ஹரிஷ்னி ஒன்டாரியோ பல் சுகாதார நிபுணர்கள் சங்கத்தின் ஆராய்ச்சி மற்றும் தயாரிப்புச் செய்திகளில் ஆலோசனைக் குழு உறுப்பினராகப் பணியாற்றுகிறார். மேலும், கவனிப்புக்கான அணுகலை அதிகரிக்க அவர் தனது சமூகத்தில் மொபைல் பல் சுகாதார சேவைகளை வழங்குகிறார். பொது மக்களுக்குள் வாய்வழி மற்றும் ஒட்டுமொத்த ஆரோக்கியத்திற்கு இடையிலான இடைவெளியைக் குறைக்கும் நம்பிக்கையில், வாய்வழி முறையான இணைப்பு குறித்து தங்கள் வாடிக்கையாளர்களுக்கு கல்வி கற்பிக்க மற்ற சுகாதார நிபுணர்களை ஊக்குவிப்பதே அவரது பார்வை. தமிழ் கிட்ஸ் ஹெல்த் நிறுவனத்தில் சேர்வதன் மூலம், குழந்தைகளின் வாய்வழி ஆரோக்கியத்தின் முக்கியத்துவத்தைப் பற்றி தமிழ் சமூகத்திற்குக் கல்வி கற்பிப்பதோடு அவர்களுக்கு அதிகாரம் அளிப்பதாகவும் அவர் நம்புகிறார்.
Harishni Ramesha
RDH., MEd.
Harishni Ramesha is a registered dental hygienist and has been a professor at The Canadian Academy of Dental Hygiene for 4 years. She teaches dental hygiene students Microbiology, Oral Pathology, Introduction to Research, Pre- clinical/ Clinical courses and serves as the Community Coodinator. She earned her Bachelor of Science at the University of Toronto and an Advanced Diploma in Dental Hygiene from George Brown College. She furthered her education by pursuing her Master of Higher Education (Health Professional) from the University of Toronto. Harishni serves as an advisory board member on the Ontario Dental Hygienists Association’s Research and Product News. Further, she provides mobile dental hygiene services within her community to increase access to care. Her vision is to motivate other healthcare professionals to educate their clients on the oral systemic link in hopes to bridge the gap between oral and overall health within the public. By joining Tamil Kids Health, she hopes to educate and empower the Tamil community about the importance of oral health in children so they can maintain a healthy lifestyle into adulthood.
கஸ்தூரி செல்வராஜா

கஸ்தூரி செல்வராஜா ரொறன்ரோ பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் மருத்துவம் படித்து வரும் மூன்றாம் ஆண்டு மாணவி. மருத்துவப் பள்ளிக்கு முன்பு, அவர் McMaster பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் HBSc முடித்தார். நோயாளிகளுக்கும் அவர்களது சமூகங்களுக்கும் சேவை செய்வதில் ஆர்வத்துடன், அவர் மேலும் Brock பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் பொது சுகாதாரத்தில் முதுகலைப் பட்டம் பெற்றார் மற்றும் புகழ்பெற்ற பட்டதாரி விருதைப் பெற்றார்.
இலங்கையிலிருந்து புலம்பெயர்ந்து வந்த கூட்டு ககுடும்பத்தில் வளர்ந்ததாள், ரொறன்ரோவில் அகதி சமூகங்களுக்கு சேவை செய்வதில் ஆர்வத்தை வளர்த்துக் கொண்டார். குடிக்கு அடிமையானவர்களுக்கு ஆதரவு குழுக்கள் மற்றும் தமிழ் குடியேறியவர்களுக்கான சுகாதார கல்வி பட்டறைகள் போன்ற பல்வேறு முயற்சிகளை அவர் பணியாற்றியுள்ளார். தமிழ் வகுப்புகள் மற்றும் பரதநாட்டிய நடனப் பாடங்கள் கற்பிப்பதன் மூலம் தமிழ் கலாச்சாரத்திற்கான தனது ஆர்வத்தை பரப்புகிறார்.
அவரது ஆராய்ச்சி திட்டங்கள் உலகளாவிய சுகாதாரம் மற்றும் குழந்தை ஆரோக்கியம் ஆகியவை அடங்கும். ‘பிலிப்பைன்ஸின்’ குறைந்த வளம் கொண்ட பகுதிகளில் இருதய நோய் மற்றும் நீரிழிவு நோயின் சுமையைக் குறைக்க இடர் பரிசோதனை மற்றும் கல்வித் திட்டத்தை உருவாக்க உதவினார். குறைந்த வருமானம் கொண்ட குடும்பங்களில் குழந்தை வளர்ச்சி மற்றும் இளம்பருவத்தில் ‘டிஜிட்டல் மீடியா’ அடிமையாதல் போன்ற ஆய்வுகளிலும் அவர் பணியாற்றியுள்ளார்.
பாலின சமத்துவக் குழுக்களில் அவரது தலைமைத்துவம், அவருக்கு மகளிர் சுகாதாரக் கல்வி மற்றும் தலைமைத்துவம் விருதை வழங்கியது. இதன் மூலம் பெண்களுக்கு அவர்களின் தனிப்பட்ட சுகாதார சவால்களுக்கு வாதிடுவதற்கு உரிமை அளிக்கிறார். சமூக அந்தஸ்து, நிதி ஆதாரங்கள் மற்றும் மொழித் திறன்கள் ஆகியவற்றைப் பொருட்படுத்தாமல் அனைத்து மக்களும் சுகாதாரத் தகவலை அணுகுவதற்கு அவர் விரும்புகிறார். இந்த இலக்கை தொடர்ந்து அடைய ‘Tamil Kids Health’ உடன் இணைந்து பணியாற்றி வருகிறார்.
Kasthuri Selvarajah
HBSc., MPH., MD(c)
Kasthuri Selvarajah is a third-year MD student at the University of Toronto. Prior to medical school, she completed her undergraduate studies at McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Science. With a special interest for serving both patients and their communities, she further pursued a Master’s in Public Health at Brock University graduating with the Distinguished Graduate Student Award.
Growing up in a multi-generational family who emigrated from Sri Lanka, she developed a passion for serving refugee communities in the GTA. She has worked with various non-profits spearheading initiatives like alcohol addiction support groups and health education workshops for Tamil immigrants. She spreads her enthusiasm for Tamil culture through her teaching roles in Tamil classes, Bharatnatyam dance lessons, and more.
Her research interests include global health equity and child health. As part of the Community Health Assessment Program-Philippines, she helped develop a risk screening and education program to reduce the burden of cardiovascular disease and diabetes in low-resourced regions of the Philippines. She has also worked on studies looking at child development in low-income families and digital media addictions in adolescents.
Her passion for teaching and leadership on gender equity teams, awarded her the Women’s Health Education Made Simple Leadership Scholarship through which she empowers women to advocate for their unique health challenges. She aspires to make health information accessible for all populations regardless of social status, financial resources, and language abilities. She looks forward to working with Tamil Kids Health to further this goal.
Kishan Baskaran
MSW.
Kishan Baskaran is a passionate advocate for youth, education, and mental health. His professional and academic experiences serving the mental health of families and young people have allowed him to become a creative leader in anti-oppression and an innovative advocate for change at the grassroots community level. Acting as a leader in education, youth, and mental health related issues, he understands how important civic action and social justice are to develop a strong unified society. He is currently a registered social worker and a lead at Vibe Creative Labs, authoring poetry and developing workshops to serve various audiences including youth.
